IN SPITE OF FURTHER POSTPONEMENT OF OLYMPIC 2020, GREGG POPOVICH – AN BASKETBALL COACH CONTINUES ACCOMPANYING WITH AMERICAN TEAM

Rumour has it that Gregg Popovich – an American professional basketball coach will get retired in this 2020 summer. But he confirmed that he certainly  accomplish his important mission by leading the American basketball team although 2020 Olympic games is put off until 2021. 

According to some presses, he will leave his profession after the 2020 summer olympics is held in Tokyo in August. But when the International Olympic Committee claimed that this competition will be delayed because of rapid spread of Covid 19, some people worry about the decision of him before. President of American Donald Trump said in a recent interview that: “ I have discussed with Shinzo Abe – prime minister of Japan about the Olympic 2020. Rather than holding without no spectator, we should postpone until the Covid 19 is under control. For me, it’s good way to comeback in 2021 with more breathtaking performances.”  In Japan now, there are nearly 13,000 cases who have been suffered from Coronavirus and approximately about 350 deaths. This is why 2020 summer olympics game should not be held in this nation this year.

Contrary to these different opinions, trategist from Yugoslavia affirmed that he will try his best to train American team in order to be crown the championship in Tokyo Olympic. Although the contract with National Basketball Association will be ended in this summer, his action shows that he is a responsible person with his nation. Besides Gregg, Jerry Colangelo – CEO in the age of 80 also pronounced that he won’t be with National team after this year. “ All of us will participate in 2020 Summer Olympic Games under no circumstance. The commitment in 2020 also in valid.” “ The most important thing right now is protecting people from Coronavirus and completely control this dangerous disease “ – He confirmed. 

Gregg Popovich has been the leader of San Antonio from 1996 and also known as the most professional coach in NBA. He accompanied with Spurs to 22 consecutive rounds of Playoffs and has received 5 championship of NBA.
