The obstacles of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (Part 2)

According to the media, in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the city government has deployed the tourist police at the two most touristy places, which are the Shibuya station and the Kabukicho neighborhood.

The tourist police in Tokyo can speak English and Chinese, and work 24/7. And to combat the terrorist attack on this occasion, Japan will increase its budget (about 3 billion yen) and its staff from 1,500 today to 2,000, just like when Tokyo hosted the 1964 Olympic Games. The village also organizes drills to deal with cyber attacks.

According to the media, Tokyo has decided to build a hydrogen tow consisting of athletic villages (in the Harumi area, Chuo district in Tokyo) using hydrogen energy to provide electricity. After the end of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, these hydrogen stations are used to provide electricity and warm water to the surrounding schools and commercial facilities.

The Straits Times newspaper has just announced the list of cartoon characters as ambassadors for the Japanese sports delegation at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Accordingly, 9 characters were selected as ambassadors, namely Robot Astro Boy, Sailor Moon, Shin – Pencil Boy, Luffy of One Piece, Naruto, Jibanyan’s ghost cat of “demon clock” Yo- kai Watch, Songoku of the Dragon Ball and 2 witches Cure Miracle and Cure Magical by Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure.

Interestingly, Japanese children voted mascots for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the Organizing Committee recently announced three pairs of mascots (cats, foxes and weasels, which are believed to bring good luck in the literature) are the candidates participating in the poll.

At the closing ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe dressed up as Super Mario to introduce the host country of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

According to the media, in order to raise awareness for students about the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Ministry of Science and Education of Japan has decided to strengthen “Paralympic education” in primary and secondary schools nationwide. All 2020 Tokyo Olympic Medals will be made from cell phones and old home appliances.
